DDLG
Privacy policy
Who this covers
DDLG (Distributed Data Lake Gateway) is a desktop application. This policy explains what the app does with a Google account you choose to connect, and how to contact us about that data. Questions: rohitsingh@vmartretail.com.
Google data we access
If you connect Google, DDLG requests these permissions and uses them as follows.
- Gmail read. List, open, and search your messages, and download an attachment you select, so you can work with that mail inside the app.
- Gmail send. Send mail you compose, including meeting-summary emails from WhisperFlow.
- Calendar events. Read calendar lists and events for the calendars you sync, store those meetings locally, and create an event when you add one.
- Profile. Read your name, email address, and profile photo to show which account is connected.
- Contacts read. The current release requests view-only contact access and does not read or store your Google contacts. A later release will drop this permission if it stays unused.
How that data is used
Google user data is used only to provide the Gmail, Calendar, profile, and meeting-summary features you turn on. DDLG does not sell Google user data, and does not use it for advertising, credit, or to train models for other customers.
DDLG's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Where it is stored
- Access and refresh tokens are stored locally in the app on your computer. This website does not receive them.
- Synced meetings are stored locally until you change settings, disconnect, or remove them.
- Mailbox contents are retrieved to display, search, or send. DDLG does not keep a cloud copy of your mailbox.
- If you send an email with an attachment larger than 10 MB, DDLG uploads that file to an Amazon S3 bucket operated for DDLG and places a download link in the message. Anyone who has that link can download the file.
Who it is shared with
Mail you send is delivered to the recipients you choose. Large outbound attachments are stored in the S3 bucket described above so those recipients can download them. We do not share your Google data with advertisers or data brokers. People at V-Mart do not read your mailbox through this website.
How long it is kept
Tokens remain on the device until you disconnect, revoke access, or the app clears an invalid session. Local meetings remain until you remove them or disconnect in a way that clears that data. S3 copies of large outbound attachments remain until that object is deleted from the bucket.
Revoke and delete
Use Disconnect or Revoke inside DDLG to delete the local Google token and stop background calendar sync. You can also remove DDLG at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To ask for deletion of a large attachment stored in S3, email rohitsingh@vmartretail.com with the message details.
